Chief Christmas Hamper Taste Tester
Applications for 2026 are open. Closing date: 13 November 2026. UK residents aged 18 and over.
MakeHampers is hiring a Chief Christmas Hamper Taste Tester: one person paid £100 to taste, score and keep five of our Christmas hampers, worth over £300 in total. No CV, no interview, no experience needed. Just a good palate and honest opinions. The winning verdicts go into our Christmas Hamper Guide to help shoppers pick the right hamper.

The Job at a Glance
- Fee: £100, and you keep every hamper
- The goods: five Christmas hampers worth over £300
- The work: score each one across six categories. No essays, just honest verdicts
- Hours: a few evenings over a one-week tasting window
The Role
We stand behind every hamper in our Christmas range. But we're biased, so we want an honest outside verdict before Christmas.
We deliver five festive hampers to your door, from a three cheese box to a full wicker hamper. You unbox, eat, drink and score. Your verdicts, good or bad, become part of our official Christmas Hamper Guide.
How You'll Score Them
- Presentation and unboxing: does it make you go "ooh" when the lid comes off?
- Taste test: does every item earn its place, or is there filler?
- Value for money: is it worth the price once it's all on the table?
- The In-Law Test: would it impress the fussiest person on your Christmas list?
- The Keeper Test: would they keep it for themselves?
- Secret Santa Safe: would it go down well, from the office junior to the boss?
